Site Development Process
Below briefly outlines, the development stage we utilize when building your Web site. We take time to listen and understand your goals and needs. We ensure to speak to you in general terms that you can understand. We answer your questions and explain how we can help your business succeed online.
Consultation
Immediately after receiving the estimate inquiry or the Web site planner, we will contact you by either phone or email to discuss your goals, objectives and specific requirements. From this consultation, should you decide to contract with PixelsPlus as your Web Developer, we will then prepare a contract for your review and signature.
Contract
The contract which includes schedule, costs, and terms and conditions is sent via email for your approval and signature. No project will be initiated without a signed acceptance of the contract, the terms and conditions and the retainer fee. All information or material provided will be treated confidentially. Reasonable efforts will be taken to safeguard information and material. If requested, PixelsPlus will sign a nondisclosure agreement.
Domain Name Registration
Upon receiving the signed contract and retainer fee, we will then register your domain name or assist you in registering in order to reserve it. This process is eliminated if you already own a registered domain.
Mock-Ups
Upon receiving the signed contract and retainer fee, we will design 3 mock-ups from which you select the final layout.
Content
Then we begin gathering and compiling information, either supplied by you, or supplied by PixelsPlus, in order to design the "blueprint" of your site. This process also known as a site map, which will establish the navigation of each site page.
Development
This process is the 'nucleus' of your project. We call it The Prototype, which is a skeletal structure of your site. The HTML coding is implemented; URLs (links) along with the graphics, images, and logo we custom designed or you submitted. Once we have all of the pages developed, we then upload your site on our password protected secure server and begin testing the efficiency, functionality, and performance.
Approval
Once we are confident, your site is performing 100% we will either call or email you with the necessary information for you to test-drive your site. This is the final approval stage; during this process you submit suggestions, corrections, and/or additions after test-driving your site.
Final
Once you are 100% satisfied and confident with your site's design and layout, our next step is to create and insert the Meta tags, and keywords; then upload your site to your server.
Completion
Now it is time for us to hand submit your site to the free search engines and directories. If outlined in your contract, we will burn everything related to your site on a CD and US Postal mail the CD to you. However, your project is not completed with us. We will tutor you, and/or staff in accessing your site using FTP, maintaining and updating your site, email configuration, etc. During the months to come, we will also monitor your site for search engine placement and ranking.
