Pixel — The smallest unit (point) of an image displayed on screen. A pixel is a single point in a graphic image. The pixels are so close together, they appear connected. Computers use square pixels where the height and length of the pixel are the same. On color monitors, each pixel is actually composed of three dots a red, a blue, and a green.
